Born in the bustling city of Osaka, Takatoshi has made his mark on the world of art and illustration, graduating from the prestigious Manga Department of Kyoto Seika University. In 2013, he took a bold step into entrepreneurship, establishing Data Creation Inc., a company that has become a beacon of innovation in the realm of visual storytelling.
Takatoshi's work is a testament to his versatility and skill, with a portfolio that spans the creation of illustrations for books, magazines, and picture books, as well as the crafting of caricatures that capture the essence of their subjects with remarkable precision. His illustrations are characterized by the deft use of watercolor and color ink, creating a rich tapestry of texture and depth that is as evident in his digital works as it is in his hand-drawn pieces.
His illustrious career includes notable works such as the picture book "Poripori Village's Minshushugi" published by Kamogawa and "The Cat That Speaks of Happiness" by Seishun Sha. His passion for cinema is matched only by his dedication to his craft, and he extends his expertise as a part-time lecturer in the Art Department of Shiga Prefectural Rito High School.
Takatoshi's accolades are a reflection of his talent and dedication. He has been recognized with selections in the 17th TIS Public Audition and has achieved impressive rankings in the JAPAN GRANDPRIX, a prestigious caricature competition. His work has also been showcased in solo and group exhibitions across Tokyo and Osaka, further cementing his status as a leading figure in the art world.
In his creative environment, Takatoshi employs a blend of traditional and cutting-edge tools. He works on MacOS10 with Adobe Creative Cloud, primarily using Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC, and also utilizes an iPad Pro for digital creations. His choice of materials for traditional art includes transparent watercolor, color ink, pencils, colored pencils, and pens. He is adept at delivering his work in both digital formats such as PSD and JPG, as well as original artwork, demonstrating his adaptability and commitment to meeting the needs of his clients.
